this is just too cute.

pasta

Lately, I am watching PASTA a Korean drama series that take place in an Italian restaurant in Korea.
Everytime I watch the show, I get these massive cravings for a delicious plate of pasta and I have sort of become obsessed with it lately.

So, I've been doing some researches on pasta and found..
this really exists.. lol
this is just so much fun!

I am ready to toss out my guilty-as-charged Classico and Ragu sauces and try to cook from scratch!
so I did.

I was quite happy with the result!
I was aiming for the simplest of all, aglio olio, but added extras, just because.
This maybe will be the chance for me to learn some new recipe and be creative.
After all, cooking is something I love and want to love.

google vs facebook

article from here

Which giant would you prefer to work for: Google or Facebook?
It might be a question of personal preference. You can’t help but love one company’s work more than another, which leads to desire to work for them. Aside from that, you could use some objective measurements in choosing between the two.

This might help you. We give you a chance to have a sneak view at the offices from both Google and Facebook. You’ll find that both are design great, to enhance the productivity of their workers. Absolutely no trace of standard office cubicles.

About Google: (as if you needed this)
Google Inc. is an American public corporation specializing in Internet search. It also generates profits from advertising bought on its similarly free-to-user e-mail, online mapping, office productivity, social networking and video-sharing services. Advert-free versions are available via paid subscription. Google has more recently developed an open source web browser and a mobile phone operating system. Its headquarters, often referred to as the Googleplex, is located in Mountain View, California. As of March 31, 2009  the company had 19,786 full-time employees. It runs thousands of servers across the world, processing millions of search requests each day and about one petabyte of user-generated data each hour.

Facebook Office

About Facebook:
Facebook, Inc. is a company that operates and privately owns social networking website, Facebook. Users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region. The website’s name stems from the colloquial name of books given at the start of the academic year by university administrations with the intention of helping students to get to know each other better.

Mark Zuckerberg
founded Facebook with his college roommates and fellow computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes while he was a student at Harvard University.  The website’s membership was initially limited to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It later expanded further to include any university student, then high school students, and, finally, to anyone aged 13 and over. The website currently has more than 350 million active users worldwide.

‘Blood Lamp’ by Mike Thompson

‘What if power came at a cost to the individual?
The average American consumes 3383kwh of energy per year. That’s equivalent to leaving the light on in 4 rooms for a whole year. The simple flick of a switch allows us to power appliances and gadgets 24/7 without a thought to where it comes from and the cost to the environment.
For the ‘Blood Lamp‘ to work one breaks the top off, dissolves the tablet, and uses their own blood to power a simple light. By creating a lamp that can only be used once, the user must consider when light is needed the most, forcing them to rethink how wasteful they are with energy, and how precious it is.’

Printing With A Pencil Stub

So you don’t want to join  pencil stubs and make a long pencil. No worries, we have another alternative, how about using them to print on paper. Yes, like a printer that uses pencil to print your documents. Traditional don’t you think? I feel the concept gets even more radical because it proposes the use of eraser to erase off mistakes! Do I hear my office scream in delight; no more cartridge woes!

customized bandaid

Customized Band Aid

With kids at home you do have to keep an assortment of shapes and sizes of band aid at home. More often than not, I use it for the placebo effect; a strip plaster round the superficial cut on the finger works better than any medicine, cuddling or kisses. The Long and Short Plaster does away with the need of stocking up assorted sizes and works like a tape dispenser. Cut out the right size and use it.
